After obtaining licensure as a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in the State of New York, I then entered the extremely rigorous three year training program in child and adolescent psychotherapy (CAPTP) at The William Alanson White Institute in New York City. I’m also trained in Family Therapy from Ackerman Institute, and am currently a candidate in the three year Anni Bergman Parent Infant Program (ABPIP).
In my adult and family psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, I work with academics, professional artists, writers and musicians (all mediums), individuals wanting to deconstruct or reimagine their orthodox or fundamentalist religions, and with parental and maternal mental health, peri and postpartum, including infertility and pregnancy loss through miscarriage and still birth.
My approach to treatment is inter-personal and grounded in psychoanalytic theories of child, adolescent and adult development throughout the lifespan. I have also been intensively trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) with Behavioral Tech Institute and have previously co-facilitated DBT skills groups with adolescents and adults.
